AB Marine Fir is a marine-grade plywood that is produced entirely of Group 1 species of veneer. The Panel is sanded on both faces. The maximum core-gap size permitted is 1/8 inch. Its exposure durability rating is EXTERIOR and the glue used is a water resistant structural adhesive. It is considered a premium panel grade for use in situations where these characteristics are required.

Grades

Available grades are A-B (face-back),The grade of inner plies is B or better. B-grade veneer may have knots but no knotholes. A-grade veneer has no knots or knotholes.

  •  Face: Douglas Fir – 9 Single plugs maximum
  • Core: B grade or better Douglas Fir solid core
  • (1′ solid knots, no open knotholes). 2 piece in 8′ & 9′. 3 peice in 10′. Maximum core gap or split 1/8”.
  • Center: Douglas Fir solid center (1” solid knots, no open knothole). 1 piece. Splits 1/8” maximum.
  • Back: Douglas Fir. Plug face or better.
  • Tolerances: Sanded
  • Patching Repairs – epoxy, No defects on faces, full sand and no edge putty.
